Finding the right business…
This article is for those that are looking to start the journey of being self employed or creating another income stream outside your current career. I can tell you from personal experience that I have researched and looked at many business models over the years. There are many great opportunities, but finding the right one can be an arduous task.
So where do you start?…
If I were counseling with you personally, I would start by asking you a few simple questions. The first thing we would discuss is what drives you, what is your passion, what do you like doing when you have time on your hands?
If you can turn this passion into a business, there is a great chance that you could crush it. Why do I say that? Because when your work is also your play, you live it and breathe it. This is the DNA to a successful business. Starting a business is HARD WORK. If you don’t love what you are doing, Don’t Do It….You will struggle and have more bad days than good. I made this mistake years ago and started a business for all the wrong reasons. I saw an opportunity to make some great money and jumped into home remodeling during the real estate boom. I did make a great income, but I got side tracked making a living and not working on my passions. I recently wrote out a saying that hangs on my wall behind me to remind me daily of this concept. “Most people live to work, it’s when you live out your passion, it becomes your life’s work.
Here is a thought provoking question to get your mind engaged in this process. If money and time was no object what could you see yourself doing?
What would you be willing to do for FREE with no expectations of making an income from it? The answer to these two simple concepts could be the beginning of something BIG!

The Question: Here is a thought provoking question to get your mind engaged in this process. If money and time was no object what could you see yourself doing?
My Answer: Reading a new business book with a Corona and lime off the beach of the Cayman Islands… Snowboarding the Alps… Go base jumping in Norway… Surfing in Hawaii…
Bless other like crazy… Teach others how to do the same…
Not stress about having a job… Not worry about where my next paycheck will come from…
That’s what I would do… But that’s just me…
